I Will Sing You Songs

The Modern Skirts show Thursday night was incredible. Thanks to everyone that came out, and thanks to Seth and my beautiful friends in Handwritten Letters for filling the spaces between our walls with such lovely sounds.

In the spirit of beautiful music, make sure to mark calendars for next Friday night. The Greyhaven community will fill and break our hearts with their collective musical powers. The show will be $5, and the espresso and love will flow like an Appalachian stream in November.

City Rain, City Streets

Dreary day in the magic town.
It's boys morning here at the store, which means two alpha males in fierce competition of the espresso machine.

Okay, so I'm fantastically stoked about two things. First, Modern Skirts show tonight. Eight o'clock. Be there or be square. Second, we're about to receive our first batch of one of Primavera's new offerings- Colombia Huila. It's a medium roast with pronounced body and nutty highlights. Your taste buds will dance and sing.

Modern Skirts at Urban Standard!

That's right, kids. Athens' own Modern Skirts are touring in support of their new album, ALL OF US IN OUR NIGHT, and they will be gracing the Urban Standard stage this Thursday, November 13 at 8pm. They'll be joined by Birmingham favs Andy's Tea Party and Handwritten Letters. Tickets are $5.

This one shouldn't be missed.

Our New Blog

...because everyone else has one.

Welcome friends and Urbanites. We're almost a year into our journey together, and we thought it beneficial to add our own little piece of real estate to blogland, so as to keep you all privy of the goings-on and whatnot at Urban Standard. In doing so, I shall try to keep the rants and raves to a minimum (although no promises). Thanks to all of you who've supported us, and we look forward to continuing to satisfy your coffee and culinary delights.

Buen Provecho!
Eric
